At a regular briefing held on the 8th, the head of the National Police Agency’s National Investigation Headquarters, Nam Gu-jun, announced that the police would directly investigate to show the police’s investigative capabilities in relation to the investigation of allegations of speculation in the new city of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) employees.

“It is difficult to agree that the police must entrust the investigation to the prosecution,” said Nam, “the police have been increasing their capabilities as they have been conducting special real estate crackdowns.”

He said, “When the suspicion of real estate speculation in the 1st and 2nd new cities in the past occurred, the prosecution served as a control tower, but the police also participated through dispatch,” he said. “I know that there were significant results from the police.”

Headquarters Nam stated that he would conduct a police investigation independently of the investigation into the Prime Minister’s Office. He said, “There may be areas that the Prime Minister’s Office investigates, but the police will investigate whether there was a car name transaction,” he said. “Because the Prime Minister’s Office only has the power to investigate, there is a limit to the power of (investigation), so I will check the rest while investigating.” And said.

It also stressed that the investigation was speeding up, saying that the Noodles had completed the investigation of the accuser last week. Investigation Bureau Chief Seung-Ryeol Choi, head of the noodle book’Special Investigation Team for Real Estate Speculation Investigations’, said, “We have completed the investigation of the accuser last week,” and said, “From this week, the investigation will proceed with a sense of speed.”
