Naju City, First Vaccination of Corona 19 Vaccine Begins… Over 2000 people

[나주=아시아경제 호남취재본부 김육봉 기자] On the 26th, Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor In-gyu Kang) started vaccinating the’AstraZeneca (AZ) Vaccine’ targeting 2,000 residents and workers in 28 facilities, including nursing homes and nursing facilities.

The first vaccination took place at 9:30 am on the day at Naju Gwangju Nursing Hospital.

The first injection for nursing hospitals and nursing facilities is planned to be completed by the 5th of next month through the in-person vaccination by the attending physician or by the visiting vaccination team at the public health center.

High-risk hospital-level medical institutions or higher will be given vaccinations sequentially starting on the 8th of next month, and the Corona 19 response personnel starting on the 22nd of next month.

It is expected that general citizens will be able to receive vaccination at the Naju Sports Park Multipurpose Gymnasium, designated as the vaccination support center in the second half of this year, depending on the vaccine supply situation.

Mayor Kang In-gyu said, “I hope that the lost daily life will be restored quickly through rapid and safe vaccination. We will thoroughly prepare according to the government guidelines so that step-by-step vaccination can proceed smoothly.”
