Local residents testify that the Myanmar military has dug the graves of citizens who died in the democratization movement and destroyed memorials.

According to Myanmanau on the 19th local time, a Myanmarian who requested anonymity said, “Three trucks carrying soldiers arrived at a cemetery in Sinphyukin this morning and began to defile the grave.”

“The soldiers took the bodies out and put them on the ground,” he testified. “Because they died in early April, they were decaying and smelled badly.”

In Bago on the 9th, the military fired live ammunition at citizens demanding democratization, killing more than 80 people. Local residents buried the 12 dead here and erected a monument with the inscription’Spring Revolution Hero’ in honor of the deceased.

However, it was soon under pressure from the military. The military ordered the cemetery to be demolished on the 18th. Witnesses said, “The military said,’Because the tomb is illegal, I will take the body,” he added. “But I don’t know what they’re talking about.”

The military took 12 corpses from the cemetery and moved them to other places, and a memorial monument was smashed in honor of them.

Meanwhile, the military ministry of Myanmar dug the grave of the god Chial, who died in the democratization movement held in Mandalay on the 3rd of last month. At that time, the Myanmar military authorities were criticized for taking the body out, placing it on a chair, examining it, and buriing it again.

According to the Political Offender Support Association (AAPP), at least 730 citizens died after a coup in Myanmar.
