-Over 100 citizens died due to bloody suppression

A separate representative of the civilian government, established in response to the Myanmar military coup, expressed his intention to overturn the military and promote the revolution. According to Reuters news agency on the 13th (local time), Vice President Man Yun Kaing Tan, appointed by the’Federal Assembly Representative Committee’ (CRPH), gave a public speech for the first time through Facebook at a hiding place on the same day. The CRPH was formed by members of the Democratic National Alliance (NLD), which used to be the ruling party of Aung San Suu Kyi’s civil government, who were elected in the general election last November. Since the coup prevented the civil government’s cabinet from functioning, they appoint a minister, etc., and are pursuing the recognition of the legal civil government. CRPH is meeting representatives of ethnic armed groups that dominate various regions of Myanmar to realize federal democracy.

Acting Vice President Man Yun Kaing Tan is leading such a separate civilian government on behalf of Suu Kyi and President Yun Min, who are being held in custody by the military. “It’s the darkest moment in this country, but the dawn is not far away,” he said in a Facebook speech. He emphasized that “this revolution is an opportunity to unite our forces in order to achieve the federal democracy that our brothers of all nations, who have been through the various oppressions of dictatorship for decades, truly desire.” He explained that the CRPH will promote the necessary legislation so that the citizens have the right to protect themselves, and that they will form a temporary national administration team to carry out public administration.

After the speech that day, thousands of people on Facebook said, “You are our hope. We will be together.” After the coup, starting with a strike by medical staff, thousands of public officials are participating in the disobedience movement, saying they will not work as subordinates of the military.

As a result, many areas of the economy as well as government administration are paralyzed out of the control of the military.

On the other hand, as the military police in Myanmar started bloodshed every day against the protesters protesting the coup, the cumulative death toll was approaching 100. According to local media, Irrawaddy, on the 14th, nine citizens were killed by the military police in Myanmar only the previous day, and the number of deaths to date has been at least 92. yunhap news
