Six celebrities, including actors, singers, and film directors, were wanted for the reason that the Myanmar military government, which caused the coup, encouraged government officials to participate in the disobedience movement.
On the 18th, local media such as Myanmar Now reported that the Myanmar police had been issued arrest warrants for two famous movie stars, three directors, and one rapper the day before, and started arresting in earnest. The police said they were alleged to urge public officials to join the civil disobedience movement protesting the coup, and said the reason for the wanted. He warned that he would take legal action if he hides them.
The military administration seems to have determined that the participation of public officials, such as police, teachers, railroad workers, and state bank employees, began with the participation of medical staff on the first day of the protest against the Myanmar coup protest, which served as a driving force for the spread of the protests. Prior to this, on the 13th, the military government wanted seven people, including anti-military activist Min Ko Naing, who urged civil disobedience movements and street protests through social network service (SNS).
In addition, arrest warrants were issued for 17 lawmakers who rebelled against the coup, including 15 members of the National League for Democracy and Peoples League (NLD) led by state adviser Aung San Suu Kyi, Irrawaddy quoted a source.
Myanmar’s military government took power in a coup on the 1st, citing the reason that the civil government did not investigate it despite serious irregularities in the general elections in November last year. Large-scale civil disobedience demonstrations protesting this have been continuing for two weeks in Myanmar.
