In Myanmar’s capital, Naepido, the police fired rubber bullets at protesters protesting the military coup, injuring three people, Reuters reported on the 9th.

According to reports, one doctor who requested anonymity said that three patients with head injuries received first aid before being transferred to hospital.

Prior to this, Myanmar police also fired warning fires in the air to disperse the protesters, Reuters added.

One witness said, “The police fired water cannons at the protesters, but the protesters responded by throwing stones.”

AFP news agency also reported that the police fired rubber bullets at the protesters, and some people were injured.

According to the AFP, police fired tear gas to disperse protesters in Mandalay, the second city of Myanmar.

Meanwhile, Myanmar’s military authorities announced through Facebook that they would expand the ban on night traffic and banning five-person gatherings to places such as the largest city of Yangon and the capital city of Naepido, Magwe, Kachin, Kaya, Mon, and Shan.

Earlier on the 1st, Myanmar’s military department said that “severe misconduct occurred, but the government failed to properly investigate it” when the Democratic Peoples Alliance (NLD) led by State Advisor Aung San Suu Kyi won overwhelming victory in the general election last November. He seized power by causing a coup.

Large-scale peaceful protests against military coups in the capital Naepido, Yangon, and Mandalay have continued for four days.
