A nun on her knees opens her arms and makes a plea for something.

The police officers sitting face to face with their hands together nodded and bowed their backs to respond.

This is Sister Ahn Rosa Nu Taung.

On the 28th of last month, recorded as’Blood Sunday’, she stood in front of the police and cried and begged not to shoot.

Sister Taung said at the time,’I can’t see people getting hurt,’ and’I will give my life for the people of Myanmar.’

Yesterday, when there was a large-scale protest due to a general strike, I was next to the protesters, but I had to see the people who were shot and killed again.

In this way, sacrifices continued in Myanmar, where two people died in Mininashi, the northern province of Kachin.

In Mandalay, a military vehicle crashed after a motorcycle on a demonstrator, wounding two people, including one teenager.

In Yangon, 200 people who were demonstrating peace were locked up in security forces, and the UN Human Rights Office feared abuse and demanded that they be released.

The military and police also occupy universities, schools, and hospitals.

Local media, Iwaradi, said at least 20 were occupied, and that the military and police are building a base of public facilities in densely populated areas to facilitate the operation of suppressing protests and arresting anti-coup personnel.
