According to the local media’Now’ in Myanmar on the 27th, protesters called’Day of Resistance’ and’Day of Rebel dictatorship’ on the day of the Armed Forces, and held large-scale demonstrations in Yangon, the largest city, and Mandalay, the second largest city.

Armed Forces Day is a day established to commemorate the start of an armed struggle against the Japanese military on March 27, 1945. Tens of thousands of Myanmar citizens protested across the country on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day.

In response, the military attacked the protesters by shooting live ammunition and rubber ammunition. Protesters set fire to barricades on the road to neutralize them.

As of 5 pm that day, the number of deaths was reported as 91. The number of deaths per day after the coup is the highest. In Yangon, a 13-year-old girl was reportedly killed by a military policeman at home.

On that day, the Myanmar military ministry mobilized thousands of soldiers in the capital Naepido to hold a parade. Supreme Commander Min Aung Hlaing said, “We cannot tolerate acts of terror that could harm the well-being of the country and society.”
