There are reports that a female caregiver in her 50s who received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine had symptoms of paraplegia.

On the 11th, the Gyeongbuk Ilbo reported that nursing care worker A was showing symptoms of paraplegia after vaccination with the AZ vaccine, citing the Yeongyang-gun health center and the victim’s family.

Mr. A was vaccinated on the 4th at around 1:30 pm at the nursing home B, where he worked. He complained of difficulty breathing and fever 4 hours after vaccination and received emergency measures such as wearing an oxygen mask.

Subsequently, from the morning of the 5th, a fever and weakness in both legs appeared, and MRI was performed, but the cause was not found and he was admitted to Asan Hospital.

Mr. A is not the first to show symptoms of paraplegia after vaccination with AZ.
