In the new and renewable energy convergence support project, two or more types of new and renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic and solar heat, are installed in the same area at the same time, or new and renewable energy source facilities are installed in areas and villages where houses, public and commercial buildings are mixed. With a total project cost of 3,800 million won, 278 new and renewable energy facilities will be installed in the Muju-eup area.
Installing a 3kW solar power generation facility in a general house can reduce electricity bills by around 50,000 won per month depending on the household’s electricity consumption.
The county plans to start construction sequentially from the end of March and finish it in December.
In addition, the county announced that it plans to do its best to select the project competition in 2022, with the five-myeon areas, excluding Muju-eup, as the targets for the project.
When the project is completed, it is expected to realize customized energy welfare that reflects energy consumption patterns according to abnormal temperatures, such as heat waves and extreme cold, as well as saving electricity bills.
