News came out that global investment bank Morgan Stanley is showing interest in Bitcoin investment. As Bitcoin emerges as an alternative investment asset, Wall Street financial companies are raising interest in Bitcoin to attract customers.

On the 14th (local time), Bloomberg cited a source and reported that’Counterpoint Global’, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, is considering participation in Bitcoin investment.

Counterpoint Global is a large-scale asset manager with assets under management of 150 billion dollars (approximately 16.6 trillion won). It is famous for discovering companies with high growth potential, such as Amazon, Slack, and Zoom, and investing in the early stages and making big returns.

Bloomberg said, “Counterpoint Global is looking at whether Bitcoin is the right product for investors, and it seems that it will require regulatory approval in order for Counterpoint Global to invest in Bitcoin.”

The report added, “Wall Street financial companies that do not handle Bitcoin are at increased risk of losing customers to their competitors,” adding that “(this situation) is triggering a new discussion of the industry about Bitcoin.”

In fact, in the mainstream U.S. financial industry, there is an atmosphere that accepts Bitcoin as an alternative investment asset.
