‘Moon Jae-in government ministers’ joining Park Young-sun camp… ‘People of candidates’ revealed one after another

As the Seoul Mayor’s by-election approaches on the 54th,’candidate people’ are being revealed one after another.

Three former ministers who worked in the Moon Jae-in government joined the Democratic Party Mayor of Seoul preliminary camp with Park Young-sun. Candidate Park Young-seon announced on the 12th that he had recruited former Minister of National Defense Jeong Gyeong-doo, former Minister of Environment Cho Joong-rae, and former Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Yang-woo as advisors for each field.

Former Minister Jung Kyung-doo will help establish countermeasures against terrorism or disasters. Former Minister Cho Joong-rae decided to take part in establishing measures to realize carbon neutrality, while former Minister Park Yang-woo decided to participate in establishing policies in the field of culture and arts.

All three served as members of the State Council when Park served as Minister of SMEs and Startups. Candidate Park said, “It feels like the ministers who were colleagues of the State Council were ready to step forward and earn thousands of thousands of horses.”

The Democratic Party Contest candidate Sang-ho Woo, who faces Candidate Park, is assisted by some of the Seoul district’s lawmakers, such as Park Hong-geun and Chun Jun-ho. Lim Jong-seok, former presidential secretary, also expressed his support.

In the opposition, the preliminary candidate Na Gyeong-won of the People’s Power recruited former Minister of Information and Communication Jin Dae-je as’No. 1 Expert Advisor’ on the 8th. Former Minister Jin, a former Samsung Electronics member, is planning to help candidate Na to establish an IT pledge. A number of former lawmakers such as Hee-Jung Kim, Hee-kyung Jeon, and Hyo-sang Kang participated in the camp.

Preliminary candidate Oh Se-hoon, the power of the people, organized a camp centered on connections during the former mayor of Seoul. Kang Kang-won is the former head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Political Coordination Office, and Lee Chang-geun, former vice president of the Yeouido Research Institute, serves as the spokesperson.

Preliminary candidates for the National Assembly Party Ahn Chul-soo are supported by members of the party, including House Representative Kwon Eun-hee and Secretary General Lee Tae-gyu. Candidate Ahn met again with Professor Kim Dong-gil, Yonsei University Emeritus Professor on the 12th. Here, Candidate Ahn said, “We will do our best to secure vaccines by forming a consultative body with major cities around the world.” Professor Emeritus Kim recently declared his support for President Ahn.
