[MK빌리어드뉴스 이상민 기자] Met too early. Although it is a survival rather than a face-to-face match, the two strong championship candidates face off early.
Slong Piabi (Cambodia) and Lee Mi-rae (TS‧JDX) will have their first LPBA confrontation in the final of 32 at the’LPBA Tour 5th Game Welcome Savings Bank Wellbang Championship 2020-21′ held at Mayfield Hotel Mayfield Ballroom in Gangseo-gu, Seoul at 7 pm on the 10th. The two were organized in Group 5 with Kim Jung-mi and Lee Woo-kyung.
When playing as a player of the Korean Billiards Federation (KBF), the two players competed for the top with Minah Kim (NH Green Force) and Bomi Kim (SK Winners).
Lee Mi-rae is the strongest player in the existing LPBA. With three wins in his career, he raised the most trophies along with Lim Jeong-suk (SK Rent-a-Car). In particular, he has proved he is the strongest by winning two of the four competitions held in the 2020-2021 season. The prize money (41 million won) and points (43,600 points) are also ranked first.
However, the 64th round of this competition was somewhat sluggish. Mi-rae Lee, who played in Group 1 (Choi Ji-min, Hayashi Kim Sang-ah), once fell to the bottom and was in danger of being eliminated. However, he overcame the crisis and advanced to the 32nd round with second place in the group. It was only 4 points from the third place Choi Ji-min. Average scored 0.727 and 3 high runs.
Piabi’s performance has been shown to the extent that the word’Piabi’ comes out from the preliminary round. In the PQ round, which was the debut of the LPBA, 105 points and an average of 1.208 were ranked first.
In addition, in Group 3, LPBA champions Kim Se-yeon, Kim Ye-eun and Cha Yoo-ram, Oh Seul-ji fight for advancement to the round of 16. Minah Kim will play in Group 2, Minjoo Baek in Group 4, and Gayoung Kim in Group 7. The LPBA final of 32 is held at 7pm. [[email protected]]
