The Ministry of Science, ICT and ICT announced on the 4th that it will regularly hold’non-face-to-face IR’ from this month with three mobile communication companies, large corporations, venture investment companies, and policy financial institutions to support ventures and start-ups in the ICT field.

According to the Ministry of Science and ICT, the’non-face-to-face IR’ provides an integrated guide to the IR for the first half of the four investor groups for ventures and start-ups, and supports the expansion of participation by sharing IR schedules with ICT companies. It plans to recruit and select ventures and start-ups that participate in each IR under the supervision of operating institutions for each investor group.

Telecommunications companies, organized by the Korea Telecommunications Business Association, discover companies that hope to develop a market through participation and cooperation with the three mobile telecommunications companies and the special telecommunications companies. Conglomerates and fund companies are organized by the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency and are held in two categories: large companies and fund companies participate, cooperative business discovery track (large companies), and investment attraction/guarantee track (funding companies).

Domestic venture investors hold a non-face-to-face IR to attract investment by participating VCs under the supervision of the Venture Business Association. Overseas VC and global companies are promoted 1:1 matching IR with domestic ventures and start-ups that have technologies and services suitable for the global market by participating in overseas VC and global companies under the supervision of the Bon2Global Center.

Companies wishing to participate in non-face-to-face IR can obtain relevant information through the website of the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency.

“Non-face-to-face IR” with large corporations and investors will provide an opportunity to expand investment attraction and business cooperation for startups facing difficulties due to Corona 19, said Seung-won Lee, Minister of Information and Communication Industry of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In addition, we plan to expand various non-face-to-face support projects.” Sejong = Reporter Kwak Jin-seong [email protected]
