On the 6th, the High-ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Office (KPA) announced on the 6th that it would submit CCTV footage of the corridor in front of Room 342, where the interview was conducted, to the prosecution in relation to the controversy over the’emperor’s investigation’ against Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. When the prosecution made a pretense to review compulsory investigations, such as a request for a seizure and search warrant, he expressed his position to release an additional video later.

The Ministry of Public Affairs said, “There is no CCTV inside site 342 of the interview with the district prosecutor’s office requested by the prosecution.”

On the same day, the Ministry of Public Affairs said, “In order to end unnecessary controversy regarding the interview with District Prosecutors Officer Lee Seong-yoon on March 7th, at the request of the prosecution, on the 31st of last month, sufficient CCTV footage was submitted to prove that it was not a false official document. For this reason, I am planning to submit a CCTV video containing the entrance and exit scenes of the corridor of No. 342 today.” He added, “The prosecution needs to see the investigator entering and exiting the room 342 where the interview was conducted, so it will be provided additionally.”

The Ministry of Public Affairs said, “there is no CCTV inside (interviewed) 342, so there is no related video.” It means that there is no recorded video and cannot be submitted because the interview between the Minister of Public Transport Kim Jin-wook and District Prosecutor Lee Seong-yoon was conducted in a place without CCTV.

On the 31st of last month, a part of the CCTV footage of the entrance and exit of this inspection site was submitted, but the 3rd Division of Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office (Director Prosecutor Lee Jeong-seop) protested, “Why are you submitting only part of it?” .

Prosecutor Lee is the main suspect in the suspicion of’Illegal ban on Kim Hak’s departure and external pressure from Susamuma’. During a direct interview with Prosecutor Lee at the time, Deputy Commissioner Kim transferred the investigation report to the prosecutors with only the date and time of the interview, and the interviewee, without leaving a record of the details of the interview as well as the record, and secreted it into a suspicion of creating a false official document.

The public interest reporter in the case of Kim Hak’s illegal departure from the country filed a complaint with the prosecution on charges of writing false official documents and events, saying, “The investigation report left by Mr. Kim while investigating this prosecutor may be false.” Since then, four civic groups, including the’lawyer meeting for human rights and reunification of the Korean peninsula’ have filed accusations one after another.

An official from the Ministry of Public Transport said, “It is enough to prove that the video data that has already been submitted is not a false official document.”
