In the electronics industry, innovative companies that have succeeded as hit products through challenging trial and error are leading the market, but in Korea, it is difficult to produce a small amount of products that can be market tested based on innovative ideas.
For this reason, electronic manufacturing companies are heading overseas in search of a place that can take the risk of technology leakage and solve parts procurement, prototype production, inspection, and mass production in one place.
An industry insider said, “There are 3,000 small-scale production requests from Korea to propaganda in one year. Even if we estimate only 1,000 (30 million won) per case, foreign currency going to China reaches 300 billion won and we have to risk technology leakage.” Said.
The Ministry of Industry will start supporting electronic manufacturing services that enable rapid manufacturing, parts support, and commercialization by building an electronic innovative manufacturing platform that can be used by any electronic company with innovative ideas.
The Ministry of Industry said that the Ministry of Industry and Energy will build facilities and equipment that can be initially mass-produced through the establishment and operation of fast manufacturing and parts support infrastructure in areas where electronic manufacturing and distribution infrastructure is concentrated, so that electronic companies can test and manufacture products at a level that can be actually sold. By establishing a parts information system that can support the manufacturing infrastructure, it is decided to support the procurement and replacement of parts and joint purchase of parts by electronic companies, and to spread the application of newly developed domestic parts.
In particular, it plans to promote the creation of innovative products by supporting commercialization services for product function and quality improvement.
It plans to support the redesign (design change, parts replacement, etc.) and functions/mechanisms to be improved by reflecting the consumer response of the initial product, and to commercialize it as an innovative product through repetitive manufacturing.
