Ministry of Industry, held inauguration ceremony for’Energy Alliance’

[테크월드뉴스=이재민 기자] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Industry) held an inauguration ceremony for the’Energy Alliance’ at Lotte Hotel in Seoul on April 6.

A total of 9 companies participated in the inauguration ceremony ▲SK E&S ▲GS Energy ▲POSCO Energy ▲Hanwha Energy ▲Hyundai Motor ▲E1 ▲Doosan Heavy Industries ▲Hyosung Heavy Industries ▲DL Energy.

Representatives of the participating companies signed a business agreement on mutual cooperation to establish an energy alliance, and agreed to cooperate with each other in responding to carbon neutrality and promoting energy conversion.

Minister of Industry Sung Yun-mo said in a congratulatory remark, “With the launch of the Energy Alliance, we expect energy companies to co-operate with each other to cope with the challenging task of carbon neutrality and create new growth engines such as fostering new energy industries.”

In addition, he emphasized, “In order for our economy to move toward a carbon-neutral goal, we must also consider innovation in the energy system to respond to the decarbonization and electrification of buildings, transport, and industries that are closely related to energy.”

Lastly, “The Energy Alliance will be the center of the future so that effective policies can be prepared for carbon neutral response and energy system innovation, along with close communication with the government and related companies, and the voice of the energy field will be delivered to the government without addition or subtraction He added, “Let’s actively prepare for the challenge of carbon neutrality together with the government and proactively respond to the challenge of carbon neutrality to create a new opportunity.”
