[메디게이트뉴스 하경대 기자] Mr. A was tested for Corona 19 with a semiconductor diagnostic kit that can be diagnosed with only saliva at the screening clinic. Unlike before, it was inspected with a rapid diagnosis kit at the site, and in 3 minutes, it was possible to receive a negative judgment and return smoothly.

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 20th, “We will implement a new level of quarantine with semiconductor diagnostic kits and treatments in the future.”

The core content included in this task is the development of a Corona 19 diagnostic kit and vaccine and treatment. The Ministry of Science and Technology is planning to commercialize it for the first time in the world by applying for the development and approval of a Corona 19 semiconductor diagnostic kit that diagnoses infection within 3 minutes with only saliva in March.

Through this, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it is expected to reduce the burden of medical personnel for on-site diagnostic tests and to reduce diagnostic testing costs. In other words, the heart is to promote preemptive quarantine and diagnosis with a 3-minute diagnostic kit, and to block silent transmission of asymptomatic infected people.

In addition, among the drug candidates discovered through drug re-creation within the first half of this year, domestic drugs that have completed phase 2 clinical trials will be quickly applied to the medical field in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare. To date, the dominant drugs among therapeutic candidates are Napamostat and Camostat.

In addition, the company plans to end the development as soon as possible through customized support such as preclinical and overseas clinical trials for the vaccine being developed with our technology. The Ministry of Science and ICT is in the position that it will continue to support preclinical and overseas clinical trials, centered on the Pan-Governmental Support Committee for the development of therapeutics and vaccines.

In addition, the Korea Virus Basic Research Institute was established until the second half of 2021 to lay the groundwork, and pilot operation of the modular negative pressure room will begin in April.

The modular negative pressure hospital room can install 4 hospital rooms and support facilities in 5 days, and additional hospital rooms can be installed in 15 minutes.

Support for the bio industry is also increasing. For 9 years from 2021, 22 trillion won will be invested for new drugs, 1.2 trillion won for medical devices, and 600 billion won for regenerative medicine. In addition, a national bio data station will be built to collect and provide scattered research data.
