On the 23rd, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute celebrates the 3rd anniversary of the opening of the Health Industry Innovation Center to promote its achievements and hold a discussion meeting to seek directions for future corporate support.

At this 3rd anniversary conference, the Agency will begin to announce the center’s 3rd anniversary achievements and listen to the opinions of the government, experts, and start-up companies on the direction of corporate support in the future.

For the three years since its opening, the Health Industry Innovation Startup Center has created various results such as sales, investment attraction, new employment creation, and listing on the KOSDAQ through professional consulting to start-up companies through full-cycle support projects.

For the past three years, a total of 3,738 expert consultations (consulting) were conducted for 588 management companies through 1:1 close business support with a dedicated PM (Project Manager) for each field to systematize the support for start-up companies. Through this, it was found that the difficulties faced by start-up companies such as patents and clinical/licensing licenses were alleviated.

In addition, by supporting 363 commercialization programs such as patent strategy consulting, commercialization consulting, prototype production support, PCT application support, and investment briefing, it helped start-up companies to lay the foundation for commercialization.

In addition, 136 cases of technology value evaluation were supported by upgrading the online technology valuation model for advanced technology valuation and the development of a new model. Open laboratory, Gimhae Medical Life Center, Daejeon TP, Wonju Medical Equipment Through cooperation with local clusters such as Techno Valley, it provided facilities and equipment utilization support and consulting for clinicians to 313 start-up companies.

Through various support over the past three years, center start-up companies have continuously grown. In fact, about 3,200 new jobs were created, sales were about 380 billion won, investment attraction was about 940 billion won, and overseas exports were about 29 billion won. In particular, 7 companies including Buno succeeded in entering the KOSDAQ market.

Kwon Soon-man, director of the Promotion Agency, said, “For the three years since its opening in 2018, we have made continuous efforts to visualize the creation of results through the sophistication of the support system for start-up companies.” It was possible because there were start-up companies that continued close cooperation.”
