Spanish media Marca announced the ranking of the 100 best soccer players of 2020 on the 1st (Korean time).
Son Heung-min was ranked 23rd. In this annual ranking published by Marka, Son Heung-min first ranked 81st in 2017 and then ranked 91st in 2018. In 2019, it rose sharply to 18th. And last year’s rankings were almost unchanged.
Son Heung-min is the only Asian player in the top 100.
“Son Heung-min is one of the underestimated strikers,” said Marka. “He’s writing various records, but he is not well mentioned as an excellent striker.”

The first overall was Roberto Lewandowski, German Bundesliga Bayern Munich striker.
Lewandowski scored 55 goals and 10 assists in 47 games last season, contributing to Munich’s treble.
Joshua Kimmich (Munich), Killian Mbafe (PSG), and Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) ranked second, third and fourth.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) ranked 5th, and Neymar (PSG) ranked 6th. Lionel Messi (Barcelona) finished in 10th place. “Messi tried to leave Barcelona last summer, but was not successful,” Marca explained.
