When North Korea declared a severance of diplomatic relations with Malaysia on the grounds that it had handed over its own businessmen to the United States, the Malaysian government expressed deep regret and ordered employees of the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur to leave within 48 hours.

In a statement on the afternoon of the 19th, the Malaysian government expressed “deep regret for North Korea’s decision on March 19th,” and said, “This decision was unfriendly, unconstructive, and ignored the spirit of mutual respect and friendly relations between members of the international community.” He accused him.

He added that “North Korea’s unilateral decision is unjust and certainly destructive in promoting regional peace, stability and prosperity.”

Earlier on that day, the North Korean Foreign Ministry insisted, “On the 17th, the Malaysian authorities committed an unacceptable criminal act by selling innocent Korean citizens as criminals and coercively surrendering them to the United States.”

He said, “We declare that we will completely cut off diplomatic relations with Malaysia, which has succumbed to US obsession and committed extra-large hostilities against our country.”

At the same time, he warned that it would pay the price for the United States as well.

The North Korean businessman who Malaysia delivered to the United States was Moon Cheol-myeong (56). Moon, who has lived in Southeast Asia such as Singapore for the past 10 years, in May 2019, sent luxury goods such as alcohol and watches to North Korea and laundered money through a ghost company. I received a request for the delivery of recruits.

Moon denied the allegations, but on the 3rd, the Malaysian Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed with “reject US extradition” and finally decided on extradition.
