(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Hyo-jeong =’Longest-lived idol’ Eric and Kim Dong-wan of Shinhwa closed the conflict over the team’s activities.
Eric announced on SNS on the 17th that he had reconciled with Kim Dong-wan, saying, “I am grateful for Dong-wan, who put down each other’s image and pride for Shinhwa, and thank you for the members.”
He also thanked the fans, saying, “Let’s fight to protect the myth and the creation of myths (fan clubs) with this energy, instead of comparing ourselves to each other in the future.
Kim Dong-wan also said on social media that he had resolved the misunderstanding through a conversation with Eric and said that he would continue the activities and stage of Shinhwa.
Shinhwa’s leader Eric and member Kim Dong-wan, who have been on the team for 23 years, recently expressed their dissatisfaction with each other in the process of their team activities on their respective social media outlets.
Shinhwa, which debuted in 1998, maintains the team without changing or dismantling members, and is considered as a’role model’ of junior idols, so the exposure of the two people’s conflict was unusually accepted.
However, they showed their willingness to resolve through conversation by posting pictures of drinking glasses on social media a day after the conflict arose.
Their independent label, Shinhwa Company, said, “We will not accept any opinions from anonymous bulletin boards,” saying that members’ disagreement or misunderstanding was caused by malicious slander and personal attacks on various anonymous bulletin boards online.
Shinhwa Company emphasized that “afterwards, insults and slanders through anonymous bulletin boards, insults against families, and defamation in the form of’Kadera’ that are different from the facts, we will hold strong legal responsibility under the names of all members.
