Liverpool lost 0-2 in the’Merseyside Derby’ match against Everton in the 25th round of the English Premier League in the 2020-21 season held in Anfield, Liverpool, England on the 21st (Korean time).

In the match that day, Liverpool gave Hisalison the opening goal in the first three minutes. Liverpool counterattacked, but they couldn’t penetrate Everton’s defense and were dragged to the 0-1 lead, where Jordan Henderson was replaced with an injury. In the 38th minute of the second half, Gilfi Sigurdsson’s penalty kicked up to the goal, and the defeat was thickened.

Eventually, Liverpool could not make up for a single goal and were defeated 0-2 by Everton. Liverpool were strong at the home stadium, Anfield, but lost their 4th straight penalty. In 98 years since December 1923, 4 consecutive home games and undefeated march against Everton ended with 23 games (11 wins, 12 draws).

In 30 years, coach Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool to the championship, but set the worst record in a season.

Liverpool, who aimed to win this season following last season, stayed in 6th in the league with 11 wins, 7 draws, 7 losses and 40 points. Even the UEFA Europa League presence is under threat.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have suffered injuries to defenders including Virgil Van Dyke at the beginning of the season, and this time as well as Henderson.
