On the 11th, Hyundai Motor Company released a teaser image of the premium multipurpose vehicle (MPV minivan)’STARIA’.
The model unveiled this time is a 7-seater of’Starria Lounge’, a luxury trim (detail model). Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Eui-sun Eui-sun delivered a new minivan voucher during the retirement ceremony of Hyundai Lee Dong-guk in Jeonbuk last November.
The futuristic image was emphasized through a large and wide radiator grille in the front of the vehicle, thin and long daytime running lights across the vehicle body, and low-located headlamps. The interior was inspired by the cruise lounge and implemented in a spacious and luxurious manner. It is also characterized by applying the’Inside Out’ design that prioritizes the interior space in order to maximize the convenience of the passengers.
Staria is a combination of’star’ and’ria’. The company explained that it was inspired by the appearance of the spacecraft that swims through the stars. Hyundai Motor Company plans to establish its position as a’smart mobility solution’ provider that meets various needs for space utilization in vehicles through Staria.
“Starria is the first MPV to open a new era of mobility,” said Lee Sang-yeop, executive director in charge of Hyundai Design. “We will provide new experiences and values to customers through differentiated designs.”
