[미디어SR 박세아 기자] The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 5th that it plans to supply 132,000 rental housing units this year to support the government’s housing welfare policies such as the housing welfare roadmap.

According to LH, a total of 132,000 households are supplied by 42,000 newlyweds, 36,000 young adults, and 11,000 elderly households. For multi-children and other households, 43,000 households are supplied.

Of the total, 63,000 households are cheonsei-type housing to stabilize the cheonsei market. It plans to actively utilize existing construction rental housing vacancy and public jeonse housing that is supplied by jeonse by purchasing new construction.

In order to provide customized housing for each life stage, the supply for young people, newlyweds, and the elderly will also be expanded. It was decided to remodel non-residential facilities in the city, such as Gosiwon and accommodation facilities, to supply it to youth and single-person households, and to support the installation of shared childcare facilities for multi-child households.

At the end of the year, the nation’s first pilot supply of’integrated public rental housing’ incorporating public rental divided by type (permanent rental, national rental, and happy housing) will be provided.

LH believes that application for rental housing will be simplified as the income and asset standards, which were different for each existing type, will be unified. The pilot complex is two new complexes in Gwacheon and Namyangju, and the supply scale is about 1,000 households.

An LH official explained to Media SR, “We plan to actively utilize online promotion channels through YouTube and Instagram, in addition to the existing LH subscription center, in order to quickly deliver information to consumers.”

LH also decided to strengthen residential life services by expanding the existing resident mental health service’Relief Project’ to all complexes in order to increase housing satisfaction for residents.

“Residential welfare is an essential element for the stability of the people’s home,” said Seo Chang-won, head of LH’s Residential Welfare Division.
