(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Dong-gyu = Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 5th that it will supply 132,000 rental housing units this year to support the government’s housing welfare policy on-site.
Following the 2017 Housing Welfare Roadmap, the government decided to supply 1.68 million rental housing units by 2025 through the Housing Welfare Roadmap 2.0, which was announced last year by supplementing it.
LH is responsible for the supply of 1.25 million households, 74% of this.
In addition, LH is in charge of supplying 92,000 households out of the 114,000 households for public lease that the government promised in the previous generation plan announced in November last year.
Of the 132,000 households supplied by LH this year, 63,000 households will be supplied as chartered houses to stabilize the cheonsei market.
For the jeonse-type housing, it plans to utilize the vacancy of the existing construction rental housing and the newly purchased public jeonse housing. Public rental housing is a type of purchasing new housing in the city center, such as multi-family, multi-family, officetel, etc., and supplying them to households of 3-4 middle-class households on a temporary basis for two years.
At the end of this year, LH plans to provide a pilot’integrated public rental housing’ that integrates permanent rental, national rental, and happy housing.
The standard of income and assets, which was different for each type of existing, was unified to less than 150% of median income, so that applicants can easily access it. You can live for up to 30 years, and rent is graded according to income.
The pilot complex plans to supply about 1,000 households using two new complexes in Gwacheon and Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do.
An LH official said, “In addition to the existing LH subscription center, we will actively inform you of information such as application schedule and qualifications through online channels such as YouTube and Instagram so that anyone can quickly and conveniently access related information.”
