On the 5th, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 5th that it will make efforts to contribute to the stability of people’s housing by setting the goal of promoting residential welfare this year to’establish a strong residential life safety net experienced by the people.

Last year, LH took the lead in resolving housing instability and improving the residential environment by supplying 99,000 rental housing units, receiving an application for chartered public rental housing in December, and remodeling 10,000 old rental housing units.

This year, 132,000 rental housing units will be supplied to promote the government’s housing welfare policies, such as the housing welfare roadmap, more quickly.

Among them, 63,000 units are supplied as cheonsei-type housing for early stabilization of the cheonsei market. It plans to actively utilize the vacancy of the existing construction rental housing and the newly purchased public jeonse housing.

The focus is also on improving housing satisfaction for young people, newlyweds, and the elderly by supplying customized housing for each life stage. Urban non-residential facilities such as Gosiwon and lodging facilities are remodeled and supplied to young and single-person households, and shared childcare facilities for multi-child households are supported.

At the end of the year, it will be the first in Korea to provide an integrated public rental housing in which permanent rental, public rental, and happiness housing are integrated into one. Income and asset standards, which were different for each type, are unified, making it easier and more convenient to apply for rental housing. The pilot complex is two new complexes in Gwacheon and Namyangju, and the number of supplying lakes is 1000.

In addition to the existing LH subscription center, anyone can quickly and conveniently access information on the recruitment complex, schedule, and application qualifications by actively utilizing online promotional channels such as YouTube and Instagram.

In order to increase residents’ housing satisfaction, it also provides enhanced residential life services. It plans to expand the existing resident mental health service’Safe Project’ to all complexes, re-create a small library in the complex as a complex cultural space, or attract living SOC facilities in available spaces.

Seo Chang-won, head of LH’s Residential Welfare Headquarters, said, “Residential welfare is an essential element for the stability of people’s homes, and as a residential welfare institution, we will surely achieve the goal of establishing a safety net for the people to experience.” Ⓒ Safe Times
