LH recruits 2,500 rented tenants for multi-child family housing stability-Cheonji Ilbo

[천지일보=김정자 기자] The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that starting today (1st), it will begin accepting applications for a total of 2,500 private rental housing units in 93 cities and counties across the country to stabilize housing for multi-child families.

Resident status is a homeless household raising two or more minor children as of the date of the announcement (January 21). If the applicant meets the requirements of KRW 88 million, less than KRW 24.6 million for automobiles), the applicant can apply.

In particular, in this announcement, not only the first-ranked (recipient, second-tier), but also the second-ranked (average monthly income less than 70% of the income standard) was recruited to allow more multi-child families to receive support.

If there is competition within the same ranking, the order of occupancy is determined by giving additional points according to the number of children and current housing conditions in order to provide priority support for families with many children and poor living conditions.

The amount of jeonse deposit support for two children is up to 135 million won in the metropolitan area, 100 million won in metropolitan cities, and 8 5 million won in other areas. For households with three or more children, additional support of 20 million won is provided depending on the number of children.

The tenant pays a deposit of 2% of the jeonse subsidy and a monthly rent with an annual interest rate of 1-2% applied to the remaining amount of the jeonse subsidy minus the rental deposit. Depending on the number of minor children, the interest rate is reduced by up to 0.5%p (0.2%p for 1 child, 0.3%p for 2 children, 0.5%p for 3 children or more), and recipients of livelihood and medical benefits can receive a preferential interest rate of 0.2%p. have.

The rental period is basically 2 years, and the contract can be renewed up to 9 times, allowing a stable residence for up to 20 years. However, when renewing the contract, separate income and asset standards must be met.

Applications will be accepted online through the LH subscription center from 1 to 17, and will be announced sequentially by ranking from March after qualification screening.

For other details, refer to the announcement posted on the LH Subscription Center or contact the LH Call Center.

An LH official said, “We expect that this will help to stabilize housing for multi-child households by raising the limit of support for jeonse deposits and expanding the number of residents.”
