On the 8th, the lawyers’ meeting for a democratic society (Minbyun) and the solidarity of participation raised additional suspicions of speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, the planned third new city.
On this day, Minbyun and the Participation Solidarity said, “After the announcement of the LH pre-speculation suspicion, we will summarize and disclose the status of reports received by Minbyun and the Participation Solidarity until the 7th.” Said.
According to Minbyun and the Participation Solidarity, the land where additional reports were received were two lots in Gwarim-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. In the case of Guarim-dong land (2285㎡), which was bought and sold in July of last year, all five people share shares, and it is argued that three of them are likely to be LH employees.
The land was traded for a total of 1.22 billion won on July 14 last year, of which 830 million won was borrowed from a bank. Minbyun said, “Amugae Lee, who is presumed to be an LH employee, took the lead in the purchase, such as taking a loan,” and said, “The five owners of the land have the same holdings, and three of the five names match the list of LH employees, so they are LH employees. It was self-determined that the possibility was high.”
In the case of another land (2029㎡) in Guarim-dong, Siheung City, which was sold for 1228 billion won on July 23 last year, a situation was also discovered that the LH employee Kwon Amugae owned a stake. Minbyun said, “There is nothing revealed other than the matching of the owner’s name and the LH staff list, so further confirmation is necessary.” He said, “I ask you to confirm that they are LH staff and that they are included in the joint investigation team’s investigation.”
Minbyun and the Participatory Solidarity have been reporting related reports since the initial suspicion was revealed. Minbyun said, “There were reports that LH employees were involved in speculation or acquisition of sales rights using pre-development information in Yeonho district, Gimhae, Namyangju, and Pangyo in Daegu, but there were no reports on specific parcels or specific circumstances. It was a tip to the effect of needing it.”
“In addition to LH, there was a report that a famous hospital head in a specific region made a speculation through pre-development information, and that the Korea Land Information Corporation staff conducted a speculation with the information acquired in the process of surveying, but it was not directly related to this issue, so additional verification work was undertaken. “I didn’t do it.”
