The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 17th that it will receive subscriptions for a total of 14,843 households for private rental housing for three days from the 18th to the 20th.
The Jeonse-type public rental housing is a pre-generation policy that the government introduced on November 19th last year as one of the measures to support the stability of housing for the common and middle class. It will receive up to 80% of the rental deposit and supply it in a manner similar to that of jeonse.
At that time, the government and LH planned to supply 114,000 households nationwide with this type of private housing by 2022. Among them, it announced that it will provide 70,000 households in the metropolitan area and 35,000 households in Seoul. In particular, they said they would expand more than 40% of the total volume by the first half of this year to extinguish the rush of the jeonse crisis.
There are two main types of rental housing provided by LH. A total of 12,337 households, including 3949 households in the metropolitan area and 8388 households in the local area, are supplied for the’construction rental chartered house’ that LH directly constructs and leases. The supply of’purchased lease-type housing’ that LH buys and leases existing buildings or buildings being built is a total of 2506 households, including 1058 households in the metropolitan area and 1448 households in the local area.
34% of the total (5007 households) is supplied to the metropolitan area, which is suffering from cheonsei difficulties, and the volume in Seoul is 178 households, 1.2% of the total. However, the Seoul Housing and Urban Corporation (SH) plans to provide additional 5586 households from April for the Seoul area chartered houses.

It is expected that the renter-type housing provided this time will be able to attract the attention of actual consumers by greatly easing the tenant qualifications. Regardless of income or assets, anyone in a homeless household can apply. The rental conditions are lower than 70-80% of the market charter price, and 80% is paid as a rental deposit and the remaining 20% is paid as monthly rent. There is also a’deposit conversion system’ that lowers the deposit and increases the rent. The rental period is 4 years if you maintain your homeless status. After that, if there are no prospective tenants in the house, they can live for an additional two years.
Subscription can be accepted from the 18th to 20th through the LH Subscription Center website. LH also conducts on-site registration for vulnerable Internet groups such as the elderly. The winners will be announced on March 5, and the contract period is between March 17 and 19. After signing the contract, you can move in immediately if you complete the payment of the balance within the designated period. In particular, in the case of’Purchase Rental Chartered Housing’, the winner will be announced on the 18th of next month and a contract will be signed from the 26th. Other details, such as housing location and rental conditions, can be found on the LH Subscription Center and My Home Portal website.
