Of the 30 suspected speculation cases, 20 are said to have been traded between a week and a month before the public announcement date (March 29, 2019). There is also a case where 116 people were jointly uploaded to one parcel.
The countermeasure committee explained that the reason for the self-investigation was that “the local government could not believe the investigation from the perspective of the inmates’ group due to the development project.” Yongin City has been investigating whether or not 4361 City Hall officials and 456 Yongin City Corporation employees owned the land of a business district in the jurisdiction, such as a semiconductor cluster, since LH employees recently raised suspicions of speculation of land in the 3rd new city of Gwangmyeong and Siheung. As a result, it was decided to ask the police to investigate three people who were suspected of speculation.
