LG Electronics announced on the 13th that it has commercialized the world’s first indoor positioning technology of Qualcomm’s location-based technology’IZat’ on its strategic smartphone G3.
This is Qualcomm’s technology that measures the indoor and outdoor location of smartphone users, and uses various connection technologies such as satellite navigation system, Wi-Fi, cloud server, and smartphone sensor to quickly and accurately inform indoor and outdoor locations.
The new concept service installed in this product is an indoor location measurement technology added to location measurement that only informs the existing outdoor location.
If you and a friend promised to meet at store B in department store A, you can only go to department store A with your existing smartphone, and you had to find store B in person.
However, if you use Lee, you can easily find a friend by telling you the exact location of store B.
LG G3 users can use this technology by downloading and installing the’Daul’ map app from the Google Play store. The Daul Map app is currently providing indoor apps for 20 shopping malls and department stores in Seoul, such as Yeongdeungpo Times Square, Gangnam Station, Lotte Department Store Sogong-dong, and Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong.
Qualcomm will hold a customer experience event for Lee Jae-in at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul from the 13th to the 16th. You can get free coffee, tumbler, and various gifts by visiting cafes that are hidden throughout the room.
“We will provide new experiences of location-based services to LG G3 users who have first installed Lee-Jeang technology,” said Cheol-Hoon Lee, Managing Director of Marketing Communication at LG Electronics’ MC Business Division. [시사포커스 / 전수영 기자]
