LG Electronics paid 750% incentives to home appliances with the highest performance last year

[한국금융신문=정은경 기자] LG Electronics, which recorded the highest performance last year, decided to pay up to 750% incentives this year. Some business headquarters, which recorded a deficit last year, receive up to 3 million won in comfort.

On the 16th, LG Electronics confirmed the 2020 management incentive in consultation with the labor union, and announced it to the members through the company bulletin board and briefing sessions for each division. Incentives will be paid on the 26th.

In accordance with the performance principle, LG Electronics sets the rate of incentive payment for each division by adding or subtracting whether or not the targets related to the competition situation within the same industry are achieved based on basic indicators such as the achievement of the sales target and the operating profit target of the business division for the year.

The kitchen appliance division (refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.) and the living appliance division (washing machine, dryer, styler, etc.) of the H&A division, which led the group’s performance, recorded the highest performance last year. % Was paid as an incentive. The Air Solution Division (air conditioner, air purifier, etc.) receives 600% payment.

In the case of the HE division, TV and AV are 200%, and home beauty is 100%. LG Electronics explained that it achieved its operating profit target, but failed to meet its sales target and competition-related targets, so it was set a lower incentive than the home appliance sector.

In addition, 350% of the Korean sales headquarters and 240% of the global marketing center are paid incentives.

Some of the divisions within the Mobile (MC) Division, Automotive Electronics Division (VS) Division, and BS (B2B) Division, which recorded a deficit last year, do not receive incentives. However, at the beginning of next month, each organization will receive an encouragement of 1 million to 3 million won.

Last year, LG Electronics paid 500% of the maximum base salary (25% of annual salary) for each business division as an incentive. The MC business division and the VS business division, which continued to suffer losses last year, received an encouragement of 1 million won each.
