Minister of Gender Equality and Family Jeong Young-ae talks with Grandma Lee Yong-soo, a victim of comfort women in the Japanese military, on the 1st of March.
According to the Ministry of Leisure and Affairs, Minister Chung meets with Grandma Lee Yong-soo on this day to hear opinions on current issues and support for victims, including the direction of commemorative projects related to victims of comfort women in the Japanese military.
Previously, Minister Chung said that he would actively listen to the opinions of grandmothers in order to restore the dignity and honor of victims of comfort women in the Japanese military.
Minister Jung said, “We plan to promote support projects and commemorative projects by actively reflecting the victims’ opinions while continuing to meet with victims of Japanese military comfort women.”
