When the Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon suddenly suggested Moon Jae, the pardon of former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, who are incarcerated on the 1st, to President Moon Dae-in, some lawmakers opposed.

According to the Democratic Party on the 2nd, Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Nam-guk said, “How can I forgive a person who does not have a sincere apology?”

He said, “This discussion of amnesty is to retreat once more judicial justice and counter the candlelight public sentiment.”

Democratic Party lawmaker Chung Cheong-rae also opposed the pardon.

Rep. Jeong said, “The people who have heard the impeachment candle are neither ready to forgive nor even thought about it.” He added, “Because the trial has not ended, the pardon cannot be done and should not be done conveniently,” he added, “and the ink in the judgment has not dried up yet.”

On the other hand, the second decision of the Supreme Court against former President Park Geun-hye, who was handed over to trial for the case of repayment of special activity expenses for the National Intelligence Service and the National Intelligence Service, will come on the 14th.

If the sentence is confirmed in the re-appeal on that day, former President Park will end the court dispute about three years and nine months after being prosecuted in April 2017.

Earlier, Hong Joon-pyo, chairman of the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee, Kim Jong-in, and independent lawmakers apologized for the imprisonment of the two presidents.
