Spanish media reports ahead of contract expiration in June next year

Spain’s Marca reported on the 14th (local time), “Lee Kang-in rejected Valencia’s renewal offer last summer. The club is trying to continue negotiations, but there is no progress.”
The media added, “Lee Kang-in is grateful to the club he has been with since his youth days, but he does not prioritize renewal of the contract.”
Torres (21), who grew up in the Valencia youth team with Lee Kang-in, seemed to have established themselves as a starter in the first team last season, but moved to Manchester City (England) in August of last year without reaching an agreement with the club over the issue of renewal.

Kang-in Lee, who joined the Valencia-affiliated youth team at the age of 10 in 2011, signed a renewal contract with the club in 2018, and made his debut in the first group in the same year.

He played three games at the Spanish Primera Liga (La Liga) in the 2018-2019 season as a substitute, and played 17 games in the regular league last season (three starts).
