Valencia drew 1-1 against Cadiz in the 17th round of La Liga in the 2020/21 season held at Mestaya Stadium on the 5th (Korea time).
Valencia went on a 4-4-2 admission. In addition to goalkeeper Jaume Domenech, Jose Gaya-Ugo Giyamon-Diacabi-Tieri Kohea, Denis Cheryshev-Carlos Soler-Daniel Bass-Yunus Musa and Maxime Gomez-Kevin Gameiro were selected. Lee Kang-in was included in the list of replacements.

In the 12th minute, Cheryshev penetrated into the center and opened a left-footed shot, but missed.
Cadiz crossed a cross from the right in the 16th minute with a right-footed volley shot from the other left, but rose high. In the 22nd minute, Kohea’s cross was connected from the right flank, and Gomes attempted a header shot from the center, but was blocked by Redesma’s save.
In the 25th minute, Gameiro was injured, and Lee Kang-in was substituted early. Three minutes later, Lee Kang-in saw Gomes with a roving pass and Gomes got a foul right in front of the penalty box. Lee Kang-in handled this free kick, but was hit by the defensive wall and missed the opportunity to score.

Valencia, who continued to rush, eventually tied Gaya’s cross from the left by Gomes in the 78th minute with a header shot.
Afterwards, Valencia faced a crisis by continuing to allow Cadiz back space. Cadiz was caught offside several times, but Valencia raised the line, making it easy for Cadiz side midfielders to counterattack.
Valencia did not conceded by blocking Kohea’s crossing in the center more than three times, and Jonsson’s shot at the end of the extra time was blocked by José Gaya to block the shot. Both teams gave and received one goal and ended the game with a draw.
