
The first trial date for Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who was charged with the alleged merger of Samsung C&T, has been postponed.
According to law enforcement officials on the 22nd, the 25-2 of the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Agreement (Directors Jeong-Je Park, Sarang Park, and Seongsu Kwon) changed the trial date for Vice Chairman Lee, scheduled for 10 am on the 25th, to 10 am on the 22nd of next month.
Vice-Chairman Lee, who was sentenced to two years and six months in prison for suspicion of the Park Geun-hye administration’Kookjeong Nongdan’ and confirmed his sentence, is being imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center. On the 25th, he was scheduled to attend a hearing on the alleged merger with Samsung.
