Vice-Chairman Lee received reports on the progress of research on next-generation communication technology, the status of securing technology for servers, and application of AI technology to products. Currently, Samsung Research is conducting research on smart phones, TVs, home appliances, and next-generation communication 6G core technologies that combine AI technology. 6G is a future communication technology that enables tera-class ultra-high transmission speed and ultra-low latency wireless communication. The industry expects that standardization of 6G technology will begin in 2025, commercialization will begin in 2028, and full-scale service will be achieved in 2030.
