Among the three people who formed the top three of the next presidential elections, including Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, and Democratic Party representative Lee Nak-yeon, the results of a public opinion poll showed that the Governor’s approval rate rose only compared to the survey a month ago.

In another recent survey, three runners are fighting within the margin of error, and in this survey, it was found that the governor greatly advanced the other two outside the margin of error. On the other hand, Lee’s approval rating fell by 6 percentage points from the previous survey, and in particular, it was found that the Democratic Party’s supporters, which had been superior to Governor Lee, were first pushed down by Governor Lee.

Gallup Korea surveyed 1,000 people aged 18 and over nationwide on the preference of the next political leader (±3.1% points for a 95% sample error). It was announced on the 15th that it had risen.

Yoon said 13%, the same as last month’s survey. On the other hand, CEO Lee dropped 6 percentage points to 10%. Next, the survey was followed by Ahn Chul-soo, representative of the People’s Party and 3% of independent lawmakers Hong Joon-pyo, and Yoo Seung-min, former member of the People’s Strength, 1%.

Among the three runners Jae-myeong Lee, Seok-yeol Yoon, and Nak-yeon Lee, the rise of the governor is remarkable. Governor Lee’s approval rating has been steadily rising since last November’s survey. Moreover, the rise of President Yoon, who showed an uptrend with Governor Lee, has stalled.

The gap in approval ratings between Governor Lee and President Yoon was 10 percentage points, and Governor Lee outperformed President Yoon’s margin of error. In last month’s survey, the gap between the two was 4 percentage points, which is within the margin of error.

Looking at the results of the regional survey, this governor surpassed General Yoon in all regions except the Yeongnam area. Daegu and Gyeongbuk are the only regions in which Yun performed better than Governor Lee. In Daegu and Gyeongbuk, President Yoon and Governor Lee recorded 22% and 13% approval ratings, respectively.

In Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, Governor Lee and President Yoon each showed the same approval rating at 17%.

Governor Lee surpassed Lee for the first time in a survey of Democratic supporters. Of the respondents who said they were supporters of the Democratic Party, 43% said they supported the Governor. On the other hand, only 23% of respondents said they supported Lee.

In the survey of supporters of the Democratic Party so far, Lee has surpassed the Governor by more than 10 percentage points. The gap between CEO Lee and Governor Lee began to close in the fourth quarter of last year, and this survey revealed the results of Governor Lee pressing CEO Lee. The gap also widened 20 percentage points.

Even in the Gwangju and Jeolla regions, which are the garden of the Democratic Party and where Lee’s support is strong, Governor Lee ostracized Lee. In the Gwangju and Jeolla survey, Governor Lee and CEO Lee accounted for 28% and 21%, respectively.

Regarding the next presidential election, 47% of the respondents answered that’the opposition party candidate must be elected to change the government’. On the other hand, 39% of respondents said that the ruling party candidate must be elected to maintain the current regime. 14% reserved their opinion.

From last November’s survey, the regime change theory rose 6 percentage points from 41% in November last year. On the other hand, the theory of maintaining the regime fell 8 percentage points from 47% in November last year to 39%.

In the middle class survey, in November last year, replacement theory (44%) and maintenance theory (46%) were tight, but from December last year, replacement theory reversed maintenance theory. In this survey, 56% of the middle class supported replacement theory, and 38% chose maintenance.
