Lee Kyung-gyu appeared on the cover of the February issue of the men’s magazine MAXIM.

Comedian Lee Gyeong-gyu, nicknamed’Son of the Dragon King’ in’The Urban Fisherman’, transformed into’God of the Sea’ for a special cover and challenged the first underwater photo shoot in his life.

On January 6, after a cold wave, Maxim met Lee Gyeong-gyu at Pop Plaza Studio, a professional underwater shooting location in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, and took a photo shoot in a large 5m deep underwater tank. Maxim said, “We arranged underwater shooting to create a mysterious feeling.

A gown reminiscent of Poseidon, a golden laurel wreath, and a special custom-made large gold trident were also prepared as props.” The photo was taken by Sudam Studio, a studio specialized in underwater photography.

After pre-dive training for underwater photography, Lee Gyeong-gyu went down 5 meters underwater with a team of underwater photography professional Soo-dam studio writers and finished the solo shoot safely. After that, PD Mormot (Kwon Hae-bom), who is filming Kakao TV’s’Chin Kyung-gyu’, dressed up as a mermaid and directed a comic chemistry with Lee Kyung-gyu in the water. All filming was conducted in compliance with the corona prevention rules. The on-site staff who watched the filming admired Lee Gyeong-gyu, who made it difficult for young people to shoot underwater, saying, “It is like a professional with 40 years of experience.”

In an interview with Maxim, Lee Gyeong-gyu also pinpointed his thoughts on broadcasting and work, and the recent trend of broadcasting that does not have his own creativity (originality). In particular, “I am worried about many things while watching the Trot Singer Song Festival. Because I am not singing my own song. Why not do a creative song festival? I am a little disappointed in that aspect,” he added.

When asked the thoughts of comedian Lee Gyeong-gyu, a comedian with 40 years of experience, about the recent broadcasting trend where communication became important, he said, “What do I do is people follow that trend, and I communicate with them to keep up with them. It is difficult to produce a good work if given. The answer is that people like what I did because I wanted to do it.” At the same time, he said, “No matter how much I communicate, I hate people I hate.” He left a witty punch line saying, “Communication is pain.”

When asked “What’s the difference between an erotic movie and pornography?” to Lee Kyung-gyu, who has produced the movies’The Masked Moon’,’National Song Contest’, and’Revenge Blood Battles’, he answered, “There is love in erotic, but not in porn. “I hate melo or pornography. The erotic (movie) is good.”

Lee Gyeong-gyu said, “I plan to start making a full-fledged movie when the corona is quiet this year.” He predicted that he will challenge for his dream in 2021.

When asked if there was any advice he would like to give to 20-year-old Lee Gyeong-gyu, Lee Gyeong-gyu said, “Gyeong-gyu, don’t be different. I can’t eat it because it’s dirty. Rather, do business. “Tantara is tired all her life.”

Lee Kyung-gyu’s first underwater cover challenge will be released on the male magazine Maxim’s February issue (January 24) and Kakao TV’s’Chin Kyung-kyu’ channel (January 27).
