Preliminary candidate Lee Eon-ju smiled wide. 4.7 Busan Mayor’s By-election The People’s Power Preliminary candidate Lee Eon-ju won the unified confrontation with preliminary candidate Park Min-sik. Accordingly, only three preliminary candidates Park Seong-hoon, Lee Eon-ju, and Park Hyeong-jun will participate in the joint debate on the power of the people, which will be held on the 25th, by the Busan Mayor.
‘Unification of Lee Eon-ju’ through public opinion polls, variables of the people’s power contest
Preliminary candidates Lee Eon-ju and Park Min-sik held a joint press conference in the briefing room of the Busan City Council on the 24th at 10 am, and finally announced the results of the poll conducted on the 23rd. The final result was inclined to the preliminary candidate Lee Eon-ju in the determination of the suitability of the Busan market through a public opinion survey agency. In accordance with Article 108, Paragraph 12 of the Public Official Election Act, which stipulated the prohibition of the disclosure of political opinion polls, the detailed gap in the approval ratings of the two candidates was not disclosed.
The two preliminary candidates signed a unification agreement on the 22nd with cards to check the preliminary candidate Park Hyeong-jun of the same party. They said, “In addition, we must win in the line that is held by the unscrupulous sexual harassment incident of former Busan Mayor Oh Geo-don of the Democratic Party.” It was decided to proceed with a 100% public opinion survey method for unification and a bilateral confrontation (sequential rotation) asking about the suitability of the Busan market.
Preliminary candidate Park Min-sik clearly acknowledged the unification result. Preliminary candidate Park said, “I sincerely thank you for your support so far. I will pause for a moment as today the path for the development of Busan and the Party’s victory.” He said, “I will support this by candidate Lee for the generational change of leadership in Busan and the end of the Moon Jae-in regime.”
Preliminary candidate Lee Eon-ju pledged to reflect the pledge of preliminary candidate Park and to win the party contest. This preliminary candidate pledged, “I deeply thank Preliminary Park Park for leading the unification process successfully. I will certainly keep my pledges related to young Busan, such as the baseball field.” He also promised, “To shout the Democratic Party’s judgment, a person with few weaknesses and free from the past regime must be the final candidate.” He promised, “I will devote all my power to transforming Busan into the most proud and wonderful city among the Pacific coastal cities” did.
The possibility of further unification with the preliminary candidate Park Sung-hoon, another contestant, is still open. This preliminary candidate expressed anticipation, “Preliminary Park Park and I gave vitality to the boring and unchanging Busan mayoral contest and raised the flag of change and innovation together. We are confident that Candidate Sung-Hoon Park will join the journey.” He explained, “We met with Candidate Park after a meeting last Monday, and we decided to contact him again today.”
The unification among the candidates for the People’s Power of the contest is expected to have an impact on the elections in the party. Preliminary candidate Park Hyung-jun has maintained the lead in various polls related to the Busan Mayor’s by-election. Preliminary candidate Lee Eon-joo, who was following this, also got an opportunity to rebound through this unification process.
