It was estimated that more than 10,000 people signed up for the housing pension last year. The cumulative subscribers exceeded 80,000.

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (Jugeumgong) announced on the 19th that 10,172 people joined the housing pension last year, an increase of 14.3% from the previous year. Accordingly, as of the end of last year, the cumulative subscribers increased to 81,205.

In particular, on December 8 of last year, the expansion of the housing price standard for housing pension subscriptions to the published price was significant. The fact that residential officetel residents could also sign up also had an impact.

Accordingly, 257 residents of residential and residential officetels joined the housing pension, up 37.5% compared to the previous year, up to the official price of 900 million won in December of last year (the market price of 1.2 to 1.3 billion won).

Looking at the characteristics of housing pension subscribers, the average age is 72.2 years old, and the average house price is 370 million won. The average monthly payment is 1035,000 won.

Compared to the previous year, average house prices and monthly payments increased by 3.4% and 2.3%, respectively.

In this coming June, the jury will introduce a “foreclosure prevention passbook,” in which foreclosure is prohibited up to the amount necessary for a living under the Civil Execution Act.

In addition, it plans to reinforce the right to receive the housing pension by launching the “trust-based housing pension,” which supports the stable retirement of the spouse by automatically transferring the pension right to the spouse.

The trust method is expected to help the elderly to raise additional income, as it is possible to join a housing pension for single-family and multi-family houses that have been rented for a part of the house and to rent a part for the subscription house.
