By the time of death, the most deaths came out in August last year (35 people). The number of deaths was followed in March (32 people), May (27 people), and June (25 people). Passenger cars (185 people) were the most common drunk driving deaths by car type. Freight cars (54 people) and motorcycles (39) followed. The fatality rate of drunk driving accidents on highways was also found to be 1.5 times higher than that of general roads.
On the night of the 25th, the police will deploy 655 police officers and 220 patrol cars on 76 highways in the metropolitan area to crack down on drunk driving.
