[아시아경제 김지희 기자] On the 3rd, the labor and management of Hyundai Heavy Industries came up with a provisional agreement on wages and collective agreements for two years from 2019 to 2020.
The labor and management announced that they had drawn up a provisional agreement after continuing the negotiations at the Ulsan headquarters. The provisional agreement included an increase in wages of 46,000 won in 2019, a freeze of basic wages in 2020, bonuses, and payments of encouragement.
Both labor and management had previously formed a confrontation over the issue of dismissal and disciplinary persons, and compensation for damages caused by the damage of the shareholders after having had a conflict over the company’s corporate division shareholders’ meeting in May 2019. Accordingly, a provisional agreement was prepared after 1 year and 9 months.
If this mismatched agreement passes the vote of all union members, the collective agreements in 2019 and 2020 will be finalized.
