[서울파이낸스 이진희 기자] NH Bank President Kwon Jun-hak pledged to make Nonghyup Bank into a customer-centered digital financial leader through innovation in the fundamental sector.

Chairman Kwon said in his inauguration address on the 4th, “Difficulties are increasing in the economy and society as a whole due to the re-proliferation of Corona 19, but at times like this, we must play the role of a reliable’support’ for farmers and customers.”

To this end, he set the management policy of’customer-site-oriented, digital transformation, and ESG management’. First of all, the importance of consumer-oriented marketing and infrastructure construction was mentioned.

“Recently, the market environment is changing from supplier-oriented to consumer-oriented,” said Chairman Kwon. “We will redesign our sales channels and overall business strategy toward customers and sales sites.”

He then emphasized that “we must put all our efforts into securing customer-centered platform competitiveness,” and “we will realize a life finance platform with customers anytime, anywhere through strengthening data-based marketing, big tech alliances, and fostering new digital businesses.”

In particular, as a finance that conveys the value of inclusion and coexistence, the plan is to overcome the corona crisis and faithful to the original role of Nonghyup Finance.

I am Junhak Kwon, who took office as the 6th President of NH Nonghyup Bank today.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the farmers and customers who always send unchanging trust and support to Nonghyup Bank. In addition, I am deeply grateful to the executives and employees of Nonghyup Bank, who are fulfilling their duties across the country despite difficult conditions.

Today, I feel a great responsibility to take over the role of bank president at a critical time when Nonghyup Bank needs to take a new leap forward. However, since there are customers and enthusiastic employees who always love Nonghyup, I hope to create a new history of Nonghyup Bank full of hope with confidence.

Dear Nonghyup Bank employees!
Last year, the unprecedented Corona 19 crisis has caused great difficulties for our agriculture, rural communities and customers. Accordingly, all executives and employees were able to actively perform financial support for small businesses and pay card disaster support funds with one heart, further enhancing the public interest of the Agricultural Cooperatives and building customer trust.

However, unfortunately, the global corona19 re-proliferation is increasing difficulties in the economy and society as a whole. In such a case, the Nonghyup Bank must participate in efforts to overcome the national crisis and play the role of a reliable’support’ for our farmers and customers.

Dear Nonghyup Bank family!
The Nonghyup Bank, which is in its 10th year since its inception, has continuously improved its basic strength, soundness and profitability, despite difficult conditions, and is now standing shoulder to shoulder with leading domestic banks.

However, the business conditions surrounding us are still difficult to predict. Internal and external risk factors, such as regulatory reform in the financial industry, acceleration of non-face-to-face, low growth and low interest rates, are putting a great burden on management. We must overcome these crises, lead the competition for digital financial platforms, and fulfill our original role as a cooperative revenue center.

To this end, I set three management policies, “customer-site-oriented, digital transformation, and ESG management” for the given term, and made Nonghyup Bank a “customer-centered digital finance leading bank” through innovation in our fundamental sectors. I want to go out.

In pioneering a new future, I would like to share with you some recommendations that we all need to put into practice.

First of all, we need to innovate marketing centered on customers and sites. The recent market environment is changing from a supplier-oriented to a consumer-oriented. Now, we must focus most on customer-site-oriented marketing and infrastructure construction.

We need to expand our customer base by providing products that can provide higher value to customers, not simply products with good interest rate conditions, and by conducting marketing optimized for certain targets. To this end, we will redesign our sales channels and overall business strategy toward customers and sales sites. Second, we need to accelerate digital finance innovation.

Digital finance innovation is a survival task with the future of Nonghyup Bank, and all efforts should be made to secure customer-centered platform competitiveness. Until now, we have steadily nurtured our digital capabilities, such as promoting digital transformation, developing open APIs, and expanding mobile platforms. In the future, we will implement a life finance platform that can be with customers anytime, anywhere by strengthening data-based marketing, alliance with big tech, and fostering new digital businesses.

Third, we will take the lead in realizing the original values ​​of the Nonghyup by practicing ESG management. We will contribute to overcoming the corona crisis and developing local communities with finance that conveys the value of inclusion and coexistence. In addition, we will strengthen our identity as a specialized agricultural finance bank by creating a green finance ecosystem such as leading the Green New Deal in line with the changing trends of the times. Above all, as a trusted representative bank in Korea, we will take the lead in revitalizing financial support for social economy companies, protecting financial consumers’ rights and making social contribution activities.

Fourth, we will stick to the original role of Nonghyup Finance. The intrinsic role of finance is to keep and increase customer assets safely and to supply funds smoothly to productive fields. In areas where we have strengths, such as retail finance and agriculture and public finance, we must continue to secure competitive advantage through differentiating strategies.

In addition, we will improve the quality of our assets through the highest level of risk management and solidify the foundation for sustainable growth by reorganizing the profit structure focused on interest income. If you stick to the original role of Nonghyup Finance, you can get valuable assets of’trust’ from the market and customers, and you can firmly serve as a profit center for agriculture and rural communities.

Fifth, we need to implement an agile organizational culture. It is very important to establish an agile organizational culture in order to detect changes in customers and markets and respond in a timely manner. We will improve execution power through horizontal communication and agile organizational operation, and establish a fair and transparent personnel and compensation system to find the reward of working for all members.

In addition, in order to provide the best value to customers, employees must set career goals such as corporate finance (RM) and asset management (WM), and develop competency as core job experts.
