KT announced that it will open a hybrid unmanned store’KT Self Lounge’ from the 28th. It is planning to lead a new communication service distribution culture in the post-corona era.
The first KT Cell Lounge can be found in Dongseong-ro (Dongseong-ro 2), Jung-gu, the largest commercial district in Daegu, where there is a large floating population. The second store is scheduled to open in March in Garosu-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
KT Cell Lounge is a store tailored to the tastes of customers who want to see the service alone, to customers who need detailed consultation with the staff. It is divided into an unmanned store space and a manned store space. It is a hybrid method that allows both employee counseling and non-face-to-face experience during the day, and operates only as an unmanned store at night.

Customers who are unfamiliar with using the various functions in the unmanned store space, the main kiosk’Help!’ You can receive additional explanations from the staff at the push of a button or immediately go to the’counseling zone’ to receive service in person.
‘Self-ON Kiosk’ is a function that helps customers directly process tasks such as paying bills and changing rates by untouching. At the’Smart Mobile Experience Team’, you can experience various latest terminals and compare them on a large screen, then use the pad to self-design a plan that suits you and open a USIM.
In’Bending Machine’, you can also buy self-contained smartphones and various accessories. The’unmanned storage box’ stores customer’s personal items, provides pre-ordered smartphone search, safe charging, and sterilization functions. In the’AI Experience Zone’, a space to experience KT’s artificial intelligence speaker’Gi Genie’ is prepared.
KT explained that KT Cell Lounge designed the KT Cell Lounge to allow customers to conveniently visit any time they need it to handle various tasks, including purchases, and to consult with employees if necessary.

KT Cell Lounge is available 24 hours a day, but face-to-face work (employee consultation) is available from 10 am to 8 pm except on Sundays. Customers visiting the store must wear a mask and can use the hand sanitizer that is always available in the store. In accordance with the policy of “Social Distance” following the spread of Corona 19, it is operated only during employee working hours from 10 am to 8 pm at the beginning of the opening.
“We have prepared a hybrid unmanned store where customers can visit anytime at any time, from 2030 who prefer untact to customers who prefer employee counseling as a customer-oriented, future unmanned store,” said Choi Chan-ki, head of KT’s sales division. “We will continue to improve KT Cell Lounge in the direction that customers want by reviewing the opinions of our customers.
