Krafton (CEO Chang-Han Kim)’s PUBG Studio has updated the Player Unknow Battleground (hereinafter referred to as Battleground) mobile and added a Karakin map.
Karakin, a new addition to Battleground Mobile, is a 2x2km island that can play up to 64 players per match, and is the smallest map along with Libig. While there are many hills and rocks, there are few covers, and there are many elements of play, such as black zones that destroy buildings and penetrating walls.
In Karakin, it is possible to destroy some walls, so you can attack enemies on the other side of the wall. In addition, a new throwing weapon sticky bomb that can detonate walls has also been added. The sticky bomb explodes after 5 seconds of sticking, inflicting damage up to a radius of 25m, and using this, it can enter a hidden space such as an underground bunker.
The new weapon Panzerfaust was also introduced. Panzerfaust is a range-attack-type firing weapon that can inflict wide-area damage up to 6m and can destroy or penetrate specific walls. It spawns in the supply box of the Karakin map, but can rarely be farmed in the map world.
Along with this, a Pierrot theme mode will be added to the Erangel Music theme mode. The Piero theme mode is a new event mode where you can play different sounds by spraying paint on the music paint wall located next to the square, and can be found in the classic mode’s Erangel map. Users can exchange Piero Coins obtained during battle at the Piero Shop appearing on the map for general battle items or battle information items (magnetic field, supply box, enemy location information).
Various events for users are also unfolded. First, in commemoration of the Karakin update, one chicken medal will be given to each player who achieves 3 kills with Pancher Fauster by April 16 or uses 3 sticky bombs. In addition, a classic map tour event in which you can obtain a hipster penguin set (permanent), various skins (period), and chest pieces, etc., will be held until the 26th when completing missions in areas set by users in all classic maps including Karakin do. In addition, one battle royale box voucher piece is given for one play of the Piero theme mode every day, and when a cumulative 15 kills and 30 kills are achieved, the title of Ruppet (30-day system) and April Fool’s Day box are presented respectively.
