“Korea’s No. 1 Land Instructor” LH employee finally dismissed

Amid the spreading controversy over the 3rd new city speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), an LH employee, who had been working as a land auction instructor on an Internet paid site, was dismissed.

On the 11th, LH held a Disciplinary Personnel Committee and announced that it had dismissed Mr. Oh, a member of the Uijeongbu Project Group at the Seoul Regional Headquarters. Mr. Oh hid his identity on a paid site related to real estate investment and recruited students by promoting himself as the so-called’Korea’s No. 1 Land Lecturer’ and’Land Auction/Auction One Strike Lecturer’.

The’Land Basics Class’, which he started as an instructor, was a five-month course, and the tuition was 230,000 won. Mr. Oh also introduced,’After understanding the land with 18 years of experience as a real estate investment company, he made numerous profits and investments related to land.’ However, it was confirmed that his actual tenure at LH was less than 18 years.

LH caught Oh in late January and initiated an audit. Then, through face-to-face investigations and data investigations, Mr. Oh’s misconduct, such as receipt of compensation through profit-making activities and violation of restrictions on concurrent employment, was confirmed and disciplinary proceedings were conducted.

On the other hand, like other public companies, LH is forbidden to work for other profit-making activities. An official from LH said, “We are going to be punished according to the principle of zero tolerance after a thorough investigation of employees who have committed misconduct that is not suitable for the duty of public officials.”
