Korea’s first space sci-fi movie’Seungriho’ reached the top of the list of popular movies in a day after simultaneous release around the world on Netflix.

According to Flix Patrol, which provides a video content ranking chart on the 7th,’Seungri-ho’ ranked first in the world of Netflix’s popular movies with a total score of 525 points as of the previous day. Besides Korea,’Seungri-ho’ took first place in 16 countries including Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Montenegro, Philippines, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Earlier,’#Alive’ was the first Korean movie to be ranked first in the world on Netflix last fall.

‘Seungriho’, which has been a hot topic since its production as the first space movie in Korea, is a story of the crew of the space garbage scavenger Seungho sailing into a dangerous trade after discovering the humanoid robot Dorothy known as a weapon of mass destruction in 2092. ‘Seungriho’ was a’Tentpole’ movie with a large production cost of about 24 billion won, and it raised expectations from inside and outside.

However, the release schedule was postponed due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), but was simultaneously released to the world through Netflix on the 5th.
